And since the beginning of this forum it has had this rule.


It's ok if you bump a topic which is few months old, maybe 6 months, but not over a year old.
Why?

If you have a valid point to spark up the discussion i see no reason why it should be locked, however if you have people posting in topics that are years old saying 'yeah lulz word to SlimZz' then its pretty much spamming/unnecessary.

Think it depends on the topic and if there's any topics similiar. It's kinda a grey area, i mean if you see a thread about somethin that's a month old but no others exist about it and you don't want to make a new thread about it just to make your reply, do you post in it? Most people, myself included, don't, simply cause it's frowned upon. But really it depends on the thread itself.

Although it is true that most times topics are bumped the bumps are fucking stupid, and bumps that are more than a few months old are obviously just out of line.

how come we're not allowed to bump old topics? is there actually a reason? i don't see why it's not allowed. especially when i go to MAKE a new topic, then someone screams, IT'S ALREADY BEEN POSTED, and then give's me a link to an old topic. smh at this loophole.

its just that i remember a period though when new members joined and they bumped threads of like 3 years old just to say "lmao" or "yeah i agree" and they obviously did it to just get there post acount up
