it's because she released The Fame-Monster in 2 ways: as an EP and as a bonus disc for The Fame re-release. Obviously the EP sale which was released separately will be counted alone. Like if Eminem released those 7 songs as an EP it would be counted from the start too.

The success of this whole project depends on the quality of those 5 new tracks imo; I doubt very much that they will be inadequate and they are likely to increase the hype for Relapse 2 (unless interscope and Em are retarded and want to sabotage themselves)

I think they do it mostly to keep the fans patient until next year. I myself rather have 5 tracks than nothing at all. But seems like whatever move he made people would still be mad

And out of curiosity but why do some people care so much about how many he sells? it's not like he's still a broke ass rapper that needs money now I can understand if 50's fans care about that problem since 50 always use his sale as his shield for beef and making fun of other people's sales, but Em never bragged about his sale or used it as an advantage, his lyrical ability is what made me proud to be his fan, I don't see why we should care *that much* about sale, just enjoy new music!

Also, I purposely won't support someone who puts out sub-par music. Em has had AMAZING tracks in the past but since 2004, it's like he takes his rapping skills for granted to releases childish songs with annoying voices and songs about raping women with hotdogs. But whatever, it's to get the 13 year olds off.

You make a good point, but personally I think since he's released Relapse, everything since has been amazing. But yeah, if u bought relapse, just buy the 5 songs off itunes or something....I never bought Relapse so I'll probably get this.
