Just accept people have different opinions, I'm sure you hate a song that the forum mostly loves.

People underestimate Encore, because they compare it to SSLP, MMLP & TES. That's about as fair as a comparison as Kingdom Come to something like Ready To Die. Both are on the opposite ends of the spectrum.

SSLP, MMLP & TES are generally regarded as three of the greatest hip-hop albums of all-time. Because of that -- no, Encore can never compare to them. However, looking at Encore by itself (which people don't do), it's a very good album.

It has a few throw away tracks, but nobody has ever called Encore a "classic". Again, it's simply a very good hip-hop album with a majority of good tracks. How anybody can deny that is extremely puzzling.

This is my standard :y:

- Classic : not only you can put ALL the songs on repeat for hour, it must have long replay value + the style/ lyric of the songs & the album overall must have some kind of impact to the game, that's I consider a classic. I put SSLP, MMLP in this category.
- Great : an album you can play throughout without skipping any track + decent replay value. TES falls into this.
- Good: you can play throughout it and only skip like 2,3 tracks at most.
- Mediocre: Sadly I think both Relapse & Encore are in this, though Encore still has some gems that I still play but overall it's just.. I can't play the whole album without skipping like.. half of the tracks. And Relapse has no replay value though overall it's a better album. But I can't see myself bumping it usually due to the content, plus that voice got to go.

Just because the content is to extreme for you doesn't make it mediocre. I mean, some people consider The 6th Sense a scary horror movie while some think torture porn exploitation gore like Cannibal Holocaust is too softcore for them. In fact, the only thing disappointing about Relapse to me was that the content wasn't extreme enough.
All I'm saying is, you don't have to like it, but at least understand why other people do and respect their reasons. We all need to work on that, including me.

I really despise this album, its a stain on Eminems record of amazing work. I do really like a few of the tracks though, just a few.

Evil Deeds- pretty good song. I generally like the style and its flows really well into Never Enough when he shouts DETROIT.
Never Enough- one of my favorite eminem songs, great flow and hook. Would have liked to see less 50 and more eminem verses.
Yellow Brick Road- another great track, great lyrics and flow. Probably top 25 Eminem track for me.
Like Toy Soldiers- Don't listen to this too often, decent song and at least its serious compared to the rest of the shit on this album.
Mosh- good song, though I still think almost every song on TES trumps it...
Puke- terrible song
My 1st Single- the terrible background sounds just ruin this song
Rain Man- awful content, just terrible
Just Lose It- beats wack, pathetic when compared to without me.
Ass Like That- dont hate this one but dont like it either
Spend Some Time- Really great song, like it a lot
Mockingbird- never liked this song too much tho it is decent
Crazy in Love- another weak track i hate listening to
One Shot 2 Shot- decent song but not much replay value. seems out of place just like every other song on this album
Encore- great party song, great track

At first I liked Encore. But then I went back and listened to his other albums and listened to it again and realized I didn't really like it as much as I did before. But since everyone is doing it, here's my 2 cents on it:

Evil Deeds- Alright song, not bad, but i won't skip it.
Never Enough- one of my the better songs on Encore, it's pretty good.
Yellow Brick Road- I like this song, won't repeat, but its a good song.
Like Toy Soldiers- One of the best on the album. I like the seriousness, great track.
Mosh- Same as LTS
Puke- I like this song, and how he's just venting
My 1st Single- I try to pretend this song doesn't exist
Rain Man- Horrible song
Just Lose It- Alright, but not amazing.
Ass Like That- pathetic
Spend Some Time- Good song
Mockingbird- Emotional, I like it, but feels like a weaker version of Haile's Song
Crazy in Love- Alright track
One Shot 2 Shot- A lot of people seem to hate this, but I think its goood.
Encore- Kinda partyish song, but pretty good.
And of course all the bonus tracks are great.

lol obviously music is subjective, that's why I wrote "This is MY standard". I did say in another thread, if you're into horrorcore, you'd appreciate Relapse me more. But in MY standard, it's more like a water-downed version of SSLP (where he's actually funny & witty). No disrespect to others' opinions
