So, it's thought to be his best song because of the overall message? That's what it seems like I'm hearing so far.

Re: Rock Bottom, on the SSLP as a whole his voice was a little nasally and high pitched. It works well with the silly songs, but on a serious song like Rock Bottom I guess it lessens the impact for some. @ Meathook, I'm not trying to put words in your mouth; this is just my interpretation of your statement.

I like it because yeah as people said its inspirational, its one of those songs that make you feel good and pumped up i guess. Also, lyrically it is awesome. I do think it is one of his best songs, not the best but I think that it got overplayed sooo much and that's why I don't listen to it as much as I used to. Still an awesome song.

A best song is a song that closest to perfect, which means it has the lyric content/ rhyming/flow/... close to perfect, especially the lyrical content should appeal to mass people. IMO Lose Yourself does has it all, especially the massage of the song that lots of people can relate to, that's why I totally understand why people say it's his best. And it's not even in my top 5 favorites.

MeathookSodomy, I like you mate but LTS is farrr from his best song. All he does in that song is telling a boring story with his sleeping flow, he can't even rhyme to save his life in that song. I must say the best thing about that song is the video, then the beat :p I guess you could always say it's your favorite song but if you want to claim a song to be the best, you have to got the points to prove it.

LTS just gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling. There's something magical about it. I don't have any points to prove it because you can't prove an opinion.

I think people like lose yourself, because everyone can relate to it in some way.

the first 30 seconds in that song, the way it builds up and boom eminem kills it.

There's a different between your favorite song and a song that you think its the best :sweating: That's why I said you could say LTS is your favorite song and it's the best to you.
Also, when you first mentioned this, you said "Unbiased, I would say his best song is Like Toy Soldiers" but now you say "LTS just gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling. There's something magical about it." which I think is obviously biased :sweating:

The 3rd verse of the song can be rapped out on any beat. Any at all. So it's dope. :y:

I love lose yourself.I love it because of the lyrics, the beat, the chorus, the intro, flow.. :worship: not because it won an Oscar, the first time i heard Lose Yourself I didnt know anything about the song, didn't know that won an Oscar..
For me is not his best song, is one of the best, but there are better Eminems song.I know some people that call themselves ''Eminem's fans''(But They Aren't Eminem Fans) , and if u ask them whats their favourite song they say Lose Yourself..because is the most known Eminem song, because is the first Eminem song that most people hear
But deff is a dope song, a classic.
