I want songs with more meaning too and just because Relapse had very little it doesnt mean he cant do them anymore he just didnt want to,he was just havin fun(he said that himself). In his long career he has never made a better freestyle than Microphone and that came out after Relapse so this notion that people think he has lost it is amazing. You might not like the direction he has taken but thats another matter.
I don't think Eminem has it anymore, he lost it after his Eminem show era, that was his prime, i can't really blame him tho i guess everyone has to fall from grace one day, For me Relapse was garbage, bunch of random shit on that album, i mean how many times have we heard he wants to be like Michael Myers? He can't rap abut anything anymore, before he used his emotions to rap but now what excuse does he have to rap?

guess im the only one who would agree with you :y: :y: :y: :y:

He could've done a dreary depressed album, whining about Proof, Drugs, Fame, Rap.. Everything.. But he said in an interview that he didn't want to put himself in that place again. He said he put out Relapse to prove that he could still rap, now he's proved that to himself, he can talk about shit. If he can write beautiful at the lowest point of his life in rehab, i think with the space he's in now, he can handle it.
My Top 5 (in no order)-

Eminem
Big l
Biggie Smalls
Royce Da 5'9"

The fact that @Gorila said Relapse was garbage means he has no clue about rhyme schemes/wordplay or simply just how good Ems flow is now.

Content wise... yes, it has no meaning (except for beautiful/Deja vu)

Snippet sounds interesting, As long Em keeps his sick flow I'll keep listening!

Really? thats nice to hear :flower: But i'm not trying to be a person who thinks they know everything abut hip-pop like some dudes in here (not pointing fingers) i'm just your casual Eminem listener who's a fan and not a stan and can see the sad reality, maybe not sad because Eminem has accomplished so much that "sad" is not the right word to use, by sad i mean this days, he lacks content on all his songs, even the truest stan can tell you this. I hope he changes in relapse 2, because like me and a few us in here are hoping for at least some content, because most of you dudes chew everything Eminem puts out.

Well with your logic TMMLP and TSSLP would also be pretty much whack sauce if you dont like his crazy random shady stuff.Like someone said the rhyme patterns over crazy beats on Relapse are dope.Maybe Eminem doesnt wanna tell us all his deepest darkest secrets anymore and people had probably become accustomed to it.

So what your trying to say is that everyone who's an Eminem fan has to like everything he puts out? I guess no one can have an opinion right? if you like everything that was on relapse hey more power to you :flower: but for me relapse was garbage. He simply doesn't have the emotions he had before, but hey i understand whats their to whine for? for money? hell no, so its pretty obvious why he lacks content, he just can't rap about something anymore, so if his going to rap the same shit as relapse in my opinion he shouldn't release anything.

If you're only a casual listener then you would never understand.
Marshall Mathers the person comes first, then Eminem the music. If making serial killer songs and goofing around makes him happy, then I'm happy. Think about Eminem the person for once. He's a human being, flesh and blood, just like you and me. His music is the only real way he has to fully express himself.
Let him be. Let him make his music.

I liked those songs, my only problem is that accent and his serial killer songs. I just wish he was the same as TES :( but i guess no one stays the same.
