The beef between Cannibus - Eminem is irrelevant

Postby Alaine » Nov 24th, '09, 04:43

It's 2009. Not 2002. Beef would been epic if it was 7 years ago, now? It's simply irrelevant. I don't see the point of a diss came out of no where with random people on it. Bis was craving for attention and that's pathetic. He's having a new album out next year, which makes it even more obvious.

If you failed to see my point, just imagine if in 7 more years, Nick Cannon suddenly came out with a diss, let's say he went in, but who would give a fuck?? or you guys think Em should respond to that too?

btw Bis's obsession with Em is worse than Em's obsession with Mariah (obsessed with a woman you've been with > obsessed with a stranger man).

Your point?
Yo, from the first to the last of it; delivery is passionate/
The whole and not the half of it; vocab and not the math of it/
Projectile that them blasted with; accurate assassin shit/
Me and Kweli close like... Bethlehem and Nazareth/

I really want to see Em making diss tracks again, I want to see that fire too, but maybe with someone else. Like I said it would have been ill it it was 7 years ago, but it's too late now. What's done been done. It's the past, move on.

Rapper Canibus released a new diss track today (November 23) aimed at Eminem.

The track, titled “Air Strike (Pop Killer),” was released on Warlab Records and features Canibus and label mate DZK airing out Eminem over a number of issues.

Canibus and DZK insult Eminem on the 5:32 second track, making fun of his feud with Mariah Carey, in addition to Eminem’s addiction to pain killers and his troubled past with his parents.

Right before Canibus’ verse starts, he taunts Eminem with a clip of his own words in regards to rap battles.

“If you’re an MC and you mention my name in the wrong way, you draw first blood, I’m gonna come back,” Eminem says in a sample, taken from an interview with Tim Westwood in 2002.

“You aint know Hip-Hop messiah/You a b***h cause you dissed Mariah/s**tlike that is supposed to be private/I’ma fry you on behalf of Mariah and Michael/Put you back on the drugs, make you suicidal," Canibus raps.

The disrespectful lines get worse as the track moves on, referencing the infamous incident in which actor Sacha Baron Cohen’s bare bottom landed in Eminem’s face at the MTV Music Awards in May.

According to Eminem his beef with Canibus started in 1998, before he was signed to a record label.

During in interview with Tim Westwood, Eminem explained the beef started after LL Cool J released his track “The Ripper Strikes Back,” a response to Canibus’ diss record “Second Round K.O.”

Originally, Canibus and producer Wyclef believed that Eminem wrote the lyrics to the track for LL Cool J, an allegation Eminem denied.

Despite Canibus’ attempt to squash the beef, Eminem continued to diss him in interviews and on his 2002 album, The Eminem Show.

On a track titled “Square Dance,” he referred to Canibus as “Canib**ch.”

“Let’s see you Square Dance now/Let’s see you hold your bladder,” DZK raps. “Let’s see you fire back Em/where’s the fire at/it’s suicide hotline time/go dial that/put on that ‘8 Mile’ hat and a file track/Get at some people who can actually diss you back.”

This proves my point even more. Just read the comments, even people that not Em's fans know that he don't need to respond and this diss is just too little too late.

I would love to see another eminem diss.

However, in this instance, it may be better if he lets D12 and / or Slaughterhouse reply.

That way, when you google Eminem you won't get Canibus's name popping up; and he won't get the attention he is seeking.

Well, not as much as what he was hoping for.

canibus really is starting to run outa cash ... thats why he is dissing em cause he moved the most units in 09.

canibus needs to learn how to make a album that is listenable by main stream audiences if he wants to blow up ... then he can go back to his old style n shit.

every eminem album is a different style and to me thats amazing.

infinite album = Emotion / amazing story telling / crazy multi syllables
slim shady lp = funny / twisted lyrics
marshall mathers lp = emotion / anger / shocking
the eminem show = story telling / flowing like butter
encore = humor / story telling
relapse = horror / shocking lyrics / flowing like oil

honeslty i guess canibus is a good rapper but u gotta wonder can he rap about more then 1 or 2 subjects ? can he change his flow ? can he change his voice ? im not hating because canibus cant seem to get off marshalls dick...
