I think the first rap song i heard was My Name Is when it was shown on top of the pops on tv, but i hated it so i turned it over lol, it all seemed like a bunch of noise to me.

I'm sure it was some other eminem song though that got me hooked into rap later on though.

My older bro used to play tracks and I would listen to it, and not know what it is but I liked it, so the first rap song I heard wasn't Without Me, not sure what were the first few tracks I've heard. When I was in the 5th grade, I got hooked on rap. First whole album I heard was The Eminem Show, then when 8 Mile came out, I was heavily influenced to rap. Cause before that my bro, and a really close friend of ours, we used to go over his place and we would just freestyle loads of bullshit, so when 8 Mile came out, I decided to pick the mic up and give it a shot (specially after hearing the intro song aka shook ones pt II). Used to loop beats from at the end of songs, and rap to it, well it wasn't my lyrics it was someone elses cause I had no idea how to write a rap song so I needed that to help me how to write. Made a mixtape, some songs I wrote, some I used other rappers lyrics. Shit was funny I think I still have that tape, no ones hearing that shit though.
