if he went back to The Marshall Mathers LP (lashing out @ his critics & naysayers) people would have a problem with that too.

what i want from Relapse 2 is just something he's never done before... go out on a limb. what i got from Relapse & Refill are rhyme schemes & flows he's never done before. i think that's positive.

But TSSLP wasn't "serial killer shit" at all, so I don't see your point.

Hey, I'm not really ripping Relapse, either. I really loved the album when it came out, and there are a few tracks I still like. I understand that it was him shaking off the drugs...but once the newness of him actually writing multis and rapping more like his old self wears off, it's just boring to hear him talk about the same shit over and over again.

Exactly.

We all spent enough time bitching about his life, time to hear him do it again for us.

lmao, it's a guarantee people will bitch if he goes back to the Eminem Show style.

"another song about Kim/Hailie/his dad/his mom/his fame??? Get over it Eminem!!"

The thing is those Kim/Hailie/Dad/Mom/Fame songs are real. Those are real events and situations in his life. That's what Em is good a doing, bringing in those elements mixed with drama/humor.

He isn't a serial killer; it's like hearing a really rich kid rap about the hood, no one's buying it. I'm not saying he shouldn't make 'serial killer' songs but at least talk about something else besides dismantling people. In SSLP, songs like "As the World Turn" he's able to be zany and be genuinely funny without being an annoying Arabic Shady who bites women's toenails off.

killing/raping/drugs is what i meant, which is SSLP.

No it isn't. TSSLP is mostly concept songs (Guilty Conscience, 97 B&C, My Fault, Brain Damage) and then serious songs (Rock Bottom, If I Had). And a lot of the album, when he does mention killing/raping/drugs it's part of a punchline, not to just say the shit.

There's a big difference between a song like Role Model and Underground, for example.

The chorus for this track is God-awful. When he spits My Music Box, it's all over the chorus and doesn't flow whatsoever. It's random and annoying.

I love the actual chorus, but when he says "My-Music-Box", It makes we want to yell SHUT THE FUCK UP AND LET THE CHORUS PLAY.

That never gets old. And I'm not sure how any person who knows even who eminem is doesn't know the majority of his work involves, murder, rape, death, drugs, rape, killing, murder, drugs, and even KILLING! Which makes me laugh since encore had the least of all of this, which is one album most people hate and most agree is his worst album :shifty:

Indeed.

Eminem has always rapped about drugs, murder, and rape. The difference is Eminem Show & especially Encore took a different route, and after a 5 year haitus he's desperately trying to jump back into it, so it's far more noticeable.
