the entire album is built on being shocking, with strong themes of violence & drugs, which is just like Relapse.

There's definitely some of the latter on TSSLP, but NOT NEEEEAARLY as much as it is on Relapse.

No one said that Eminem hasn't always thrown in references to killing/raping/serial killers in his songs...but there comes a point when that's the actual FOCUS of the song (like 3 AM, etc.) and it becomes repetitive and pointless. Also, when that shit isn't mixed in tastefully and humorously it isn't very effective.
