I agree with you, but i wouldn't call the refill tracks mediocre. Not one of them is, except Taking My Ball which is below mediocre.

But yes, I'm really happy Em desided to go in another direction with R2...

Well, I don't care really what you're like on the inside and I just really want you to come to bed with me. Would you do that if you could? Even if you were just average on the outside (but not fat) I could like you if you sounded smart.

Yes like Mr. Porter said, taking my ball-type-of-songs were supposed to be on Relapse 2. Fortunately it changed.

I really value those words of Em: I want to make tracks you can listen to for a 100 or 1000 times. Not the punchlines you laugh about only once.

So i think Em figured it is time now to make a really really good album. And I know for sure he received negative feedback on the accent, which he will eliminate. at least i hope so..

One Mic wrote:Most of the Re-Fill tracks were originally recorded to go on "Relapse 2" - the album that was supposed to be released in 2009 but thankfully it has gone through a "change of direction" and it will be more "emotionally-driven" (Em's words).

So the same sort of vibe (raping / murdering) etc would have been on Relapse 2, but thankfully he started working with Just Blaze and it all changed. Which is why it has been delayed and we have had this Re-Fill to tide the fans over.

It doesn't really matter what the Re-Fill songs are like because Em and Dre recorded about 40 songs last year enough for 2 albums, so they were likely to be recorded at the same time as Relapse 1.

Remember the most recent recorded Eminem songs are FOREVER (Verse) and THE WARNING which are both good. Even the collab with 50 (Physco) was recorded last year on the same day as the song "Hello" so we only have Forever and The Warning that are actually recent.

Even if Relapse 2 isn't as good as MMLP or The Eminem Show at least it will have some more personal songs, more emotion and probably won't have the accent. You can't predict what R2 will be like based on the Re-Fill :y:

Just be glad there is this Re-Fill to get rid of the mediocre stuff, so the good stuff can be on the actual next album!

agree with everything you said. im glad he changed directions.

I like all the songs on Refill except for taking my ball which is mediocre and these songs are more Relapse 1 than 2 because Relapse one was more eminem proving that he can still spit some crazy rhymes where Relapse 2 will be more serious songs and no longer on the subject matter of Relapse 1 which is why these songs were taken off

Yeah, I didn't find refill that amazing. Nothing will be replayed except for Music Box, Forever, and Elevator. Forever was still the best verse on the album. Everything else is subpar. I'm really looking forward to the new relapse 2 though.
