Collaborations on Relapse 2

At this point we can only speculate, so let's speculate.

Relapse and Relapse: Refill were noticeably thin on collaborations with other rappers, this down mainly to the fact that Em was coming out of his drug phase and finding his feet again. Now that he's back on form and doing what he does best, do you think he will have many tracks featuring other rappers on Relapse 2?

I think a track featuring 50/Dre is inevitable since they're so close to him. I also reckon we could see a D12 track, a track with Royce/Slaughterhouse and then one other collab that people might not see coming. Overall I predict 4 collaborations for Relapse 2.

A track featuring Elton John would be great, or even a track with Obie Trice (I understand they're not labelmates anymore, but surely they're still friends??). Other than that, I personally wouldn't want too many collaborations, simply because there aren't many performers who are up on Em's level, and anything not up to this standard would weaken a track.

Honestly, so am I. I think it would be difficult for Em not to collab with 50 though, but I agree with you, I'd rather not see a 50 cent track on Relapse 2. Who would you have him collab with?

I get what you're saying but after all it's still a song and it should be enjoyed as a whole, not just to see who goes the hardest. That's the problem with collabs, sometimes people too focus on "who goes the hardest? who has the best verse?"

I get what you're saying but after all it's still a song and it should be enjoyed as a whole, not just to see who goes the hardest. That's the problem with collabs, sometimes people too focus on "who goes the hardest? who has the best verse?"

but if everyone goes hard on their verse, wouldnt the song as a whole be amazing and enjoyable?

Would love a Royce collab. Add me to the list of people tired of 50/Dre collabs. Nothing against them, I'm just ready for something different. I'd rather hear a D12 track over another 50/Dre one.
