When people see that "Crack A Bottle" is on an album, they'll be more likely to buy it. A general music fan, I mean.. Not a hardcore Eminem fan. If your favorite hit song is on an album, you're going to buy the album to see what the rest of the record is like. That's why Lil Wayne sells so much. His hit singles appeal so much and everyone wants to hear the rest. I'm pretty sure the label pressured him to put it on there to sell a few more records because we know he doesn't care about that at this point.

i mean rappers pretty much do what they want as far as music

other artist usually only wtire 10-15 song and put those on the album
where as rappers make alots.. and do an elimination

Nowadays a well rounded albums means you gotta have a song or two that appeal to the masses, and in this case, such a song, would be Crack A Bottle. Because a song like that get's played on the radio, it grabs the attention of people. Even if rap fans might think it's wack, it suits it's purpose.

I think they put Crack A Bottle on there for 2 reasons:

1. We Made You failed to really hit like his previous lead singles

2. It's the only one from that Relapse batch that featured 50 Cent (ugh)

You can tell it was originally meant for Detox; there were two verses written for Dre in the leaked version to only one for Eminem.

i would say jimmy, im sure he thought crack a bottle was the "it" song, so it was forced.
then i remember reading in his book that eminem doesnt want to make "hardcore" songs anymore, now that his kids are growing up, and they listen to his stuff. So im assuming he went the whole pop rap kinda style, for those two reasons....

I think the reason for putting Crack A Bottle on the album was because it leaked so early and became a huge success! The only album they could put it on without using too much time to get it out there was Relapse.

didnt crack a bottle go no.1 on billboard...well there you have it folks ! and plus after reading the way i am(book) em says something along the lines of "the record label wanted a pop single for the mmlp" this is because its the only way to attract a vast audience of listeners to the album via a radio freindly catchy pop song. Who do i think told him to put CAB on the album...Interscope Records
