Postby Spyder » Dec 9th, '09, 22:34

ok so the first verse for those who didnt know is off a D12 freestyle they did on rapcity/basement
whatever it was

verse 2 is from a radio show freestlye called Head Hits The Pillow, or Everyone's Looking At Me
(i have both)

anyone know what the 3rd verse is from... is is that part actually new for The Re-Up

i love No Apologies, do you guys think he should take old "freestyles" and make them new?
put a new beat, emotion, and hook or verse to it?

If you mean "old" as in Pre Relapse, fuck no because it just wouldn't be the same. If you mean like the Tim Westwood freestyles then I think it would only be nice if it was on just a random mixtape.

yeah well say he took old freestyles meaning Pre-Encore, like he did with No Apologies
it would have more Edge, the more "old Em" everybody wants. just with a new beat and maybe another verse or hook added on...

It'd still be weird for me, but if he were to do it I'd bump it 50 times til i get bored of it either way :smoking:

He didn't "take freestyles and make them into a song." The reason he performed those verses as "freestyles" is he already had recorded No Apologies and decided it was a throwaway track.

In 2006, he realized that old throwaway track had gained a new meaning (originally it was a REFUSAL to "soften" as his critics were asking him to...but in 2006 he saw it as being a DENIAL that he HAD "turned soft" as his rap fans/critics were alleging).

But the song itself was written and recorded in 2001.

He never released the full song until 2006, but it was written/recorded in those Eminem Show sessions...it's pretty clear from the style of the beat as well as him rapping the first verse as a freestyle in 2002 and beginning to say the chorus after.

well if thats true why did he release the first 2 verses in two seperate "freestyles"
in the first freestyle AKA first verse he says no apologies at the end, but he says he has no apologies to something
