Young money vs Shady/Aftermath

Postby macdaddy019967 » Dec 8th, '09, 08:02

3 headed monster or young money? In 2009 LIl wayne dropped mixtapes which generated alot of buzz and eminem released his long awaited album Relapse which is best rap album of 2009. 50 cent delivered BISD which had a good response but low album sales and is still delivering more singles and Drake has a big buzz right now and Dr Dre is supposed to be dropping Detox.

So who you guys think will have the greatest response and take over in 2010?

Young Money:
Drake, Birdman, Wayne

Shady/Aftermath:
Eminem, 50 cent, Dr Dre

i was thinking about this today, young money nowadays is ALOT like shady/aftermath was in like 2002-03. obviously not in terms of talent or skill, but in terms of popularity. shady records was already popular before fif came, with d12. but when fif (and obie) dropped, they were on top of the world. thats kinda those young money fags are nowadays, with drake being probably the most hyped artist without an album out yet since 50 was in 2002. kinda off topic, since you are talking about how they compare today, but i was thinking about this today so i just posted it..

Let's be real. have you ever heard someone yell out shady aftermath in the last 3 years besides em?

Wayne & Young Money is running hip hop and pop right now

no other artist, label or group is completing worth them both lyrically or successfully

Tha Carter 4 will slay R2 in sales, my dream is to see them come out on the same day

Drake is more popular then the whole D12+G-unite crew right now

Matter of fact Cash Money is more popular then shady aftermath math right now

Cash Money/Young Money is running things. 2010 is Wayne's year again just like '08. watch :smoking:

@ Lilwayne4life
Look at you, man. Just look at the shit you wrote. I didnt say that these crappy artists dont make pop. They do, and thats the main problem. You just said that "the greatest rapper" rules the pop music genre. Dont you think thats embarassing for the rap game?

Your idol will take the game to the point of no return, to the point where if hip hop was a person, he'd stab, electrecute, shoot and poison himself at the same fuckin time. And you support that? You're pitiful.

But noooo, that aint enough. Why should he just destroy hip hop, when he can destroy rock too? Maybe he can start directin movies, and slaughter the film industry too...

Shit, Im gettin sick...

^He might not, but thats not the point. You cant compare a rap label and a pop-rap-rock-rnb label. My point is that he thinks of Wayne as the greatest rapper, while sayin that he rules the pop genre. Is this what hip hop has come to? If yes, I resign as follower of this culture. :n:
