I think I miss understood the thread. I thought it was: For example I say name of a rapper and then explain why I think he is overrated, then I state another rappers name and next person explains what they think of him/her. Did I get this wrong?

Yeah, to be honest I'm not that much into him but his old school songs are much better though. His first song that I liked was "I Need Love". Good one.

Both 2Pac and Biggie were at their prime before their deaths. 2Pac had just released a 4x Platinum album while he was still alive and was close to releasing a new album straightaway. He had 3 films coming up. Biggie was taking a bit of a break after Ready To Die but during the East Coast/West Coast beef he was still everywhere. Yes, their deaths did make them even more famous, but no doubt they were already. I'm talking success/famous wise since that's what you mentioned.
