Sales
Eminem's verbal skills have produced some stunning math. Between solo efforts, D12 work and special releases, the Detroit star has moved more than 45 million albums in the United States since his 1999 breakout -- and sold another 17 million singles to ice the cake.
ALBUMS
As Eminem: 35.1 million
With D12: 4.1 million
"8 Mile" soundtrack: 4.7 million
"Eminem Presents the Re-Up": 1.1 million
SINGLES
Track downloads as Eminem: 15.3 million
Track downloads with D12: 1.2 million
Physical singles as Eminem: 394,000
MUSIC VIDEO
DVD and VHS releases: 402,000

Biggest crowds
He's never liked the grind of touring, but Eminem certainly knows how to draw a crowd. His headlining shows have enjoyed an 86% sellout rate, and with 754,640 tickets sold, his dates have grossed more than $37 million.
His top-grossing concert stands:
1. Ford Field, Detroit. $5.3 million. July 2003
2. Giants Stadium, New Jersey. $3.3 million. June 2003
3. RFK Stadium, Washington, D.C. $3.2 million. May 2002
4. Comerica Park, Detroit. $2.8 million. August 2005
5. Madison Square Garden, New York. $2.6 million. August 2005

Major honors
9 Grammy Awards: Including three wins for best rap album.
1 Academy Award: For best original song ("Lose Yourself," 2002).
10 MTV Video Music Awards: The fifth-best tally in VMA history. Includes two video of the year trophies ("The Real Slim Shady," 2000; "Without Me," 2002).
10 MTV Europe Music Awards: Top all-time winner. Includes two for best album.
11 American Music Awards: Includes four wins for favorite male rapper

Top radio hits
Rock songs dominate the decade's airplay charts, led by Nickelback's "How You Remind Me," which has been spun 1.2 million times on U.S. radio.
But Eminem has logged his share of airtime. Total spins, Jan. 2000-Dec. 2009:
1. "Lose Yourself," 460,623
2. "Without Me," 294,403
3. "Cleanin' Out My Closet," 175,407
4. "Mockingbird," 164,655
5. "Sing for the Moment," 159,529

Critical mass
Cumulative critics' ratings, as compiled by Metacritic.com. On a scale of 0-100.
79, "The Marshall Mathers LP" (2000)
75, "The Eminem Show" (2002)
74, "8 Mile" soundtrack (2002)
64, "Encore" (2004)
59, "Relapse" (2009)

All-time top rap films
U.S. box office figures
1. "8 Mile" ($116 million)
2. "Notorious" ($36 million)
3. "Malibu's Most Wanted" ($34 million)
4. "Get Rich or Die Tryin' " ($30 million)
5. "Brown Sugar" ($27 million)

Reader poll: Eminem's best song
More than 3,000 votes were cast at freep.com to select the best of Eminem's catalog. His 2002 hit "Lose Yourself" was the runaway winner out of the gate, capturing nearly one-fourth of the vote. Of the 90 career songs up for consideration, just one -- the disposable 2004 track "Puke" -- failed to garner at least one vote. One takeaway from the results: Fans generally rate Em's darker, more serious material ahead of his lighter Slim Shady stuff. Just two of the latter -- "Without Me" and "The Real Slim Shady" -- cracked the top 10.
1. "Lose Yourself" (24%)
2. "Stan (8%)
3. "The Way I Am" (7%)
4. " 'Till I Collapse" (7%)
5. "Beautiful" (5%)
6. "8 Mile" (4%)
7. "Sing for the Moment" (3%)
8. "Cleanin' Out My Closet" (2%)
9. "The Real Slim Shady" (2%)
10. "Without Me" (2%)

Rolling Stone cover appearances this decade
11 Bono
11 Britney Spears
10 Eminem

It was actually more like 4 years of dominance, then Encore happened, then he went into hiding for 5 years...Then he released a good comeback album with poorly chosen singles.
