Why are people hidin their online status?

to make it appear as if they have a life, and are not actually sitting at their computer all day. that's the only logical reason.

lol might be. My computer is turned on all day and Im always connected and online here. I dont know, it seems kinda stupid to hide it...

I do it cause when I go online I just dont want certain people talking to me and I usually just need to talk to like 1-2 specific people.

yeah well, i've asked several ppl about why they do it, and they all admit that being online all day makes them look nerdy.

Well if thats the case, then... Im a TR nerd and Im proud of it.

well suddenly i remembered backstage posts don't count, but if those numbers were correct, he would post 145 more posts in a month then me. he has more posts than i do, joined nine months before me and posts more often. and he acts like he has it all. i'm pretty sure someone who has everything someone would want in life wouldn't spend his time on a forum each and every day talking with people he doesn't know.

except i've stopped coming onto all forums except for this one a long time ago, and i don't go on here much anymore. i don't know what scott's activity has been since he joined.

I don't hide my status here, but on msn I do. I have some....slightly irritating cousins that I don't mind talking to once in a while but I don't wanna talk to all the time so I go offline so I only talk to people who I feel like talking to.
