Anyways, sports and music are similiar. They are forms of entertainment. You can be a fan of a sports team or an artist. And about artists not representing their city, Eminem represents it a lot considering his Beautiful music video (I'm pretty sure he had gotten some areas filmed before they were broken down or something like that). Also, didn't he do that Detroit support thing not too long ago...Well I can't remember what it was but it was a video and it was a bit after Relapse came out talking about Detroit. Or Flo Rida how his name represents where he's from. You can see where I'm going with this, no? They represent where they are from. And just because I live in Toronto, it's apparently a bitch move because I'll support the Mavericks?
However, being from a state doesnt mean you have to like the musicians from that state, thats putting words in his mouth.
A more sensible analogy would be : If you were an artist and were raised in California, but were representing new york....that would be dumb.
I didn't mean to say that HE said it, I (as emizdope said) had made a comparison of artists and sports team. I'm sorry if it wasn't close enough to actually make a comparison, but hopefully you understand what I meant.
