but if you disagreed, show me 1 line that's worth quote/ worth remember/ worth go "wow" from that track :y:

well i just liked most of lil waynes first verse :y:
I got ice in my veins, blood in my eyes
Hate in my heart, love in my mind
I seen nights full of pain, days of the same
You keep the sunshine, save me the rain
I search but never find, hurt but never cry
I work and forever try, but I’m cursed, so nevermind.

and from eminem i'd say this part:
It hurts, but I never show this pain you’ll never know
If only you could see just how lonely and how cold
And frostbit I’ve become, my back’s against the wall
When push come to shove, I just stand up and scream “Fuck ‘em all”

idk i just like it overall u might not but oh well lol

^^ Well there's no real 'wow' line from Em. But it's more about the way he's writing lately. And his flows.

Plus you have different types of Em verses. That was just an angry spitball verse basically lol. But Em has been missing his true wit for a long time. I'm still waiting for that genius wit which produced lines like:

"I'll run your brain around the block to jog your fucking memory"

"I'm looking for somebody OF to beat the crap OUT"

"I'm Nicer than Pete but I'm on a Serch to crush a Milkbone, I'm Ever-lasting, I melt Vanilla Ice like Silocone"

"When I grab a pencil and squeeze it between fingers, I'm not a rapper, I'm a demon who speaks English"

This is the Em I think everyone wants back even if they think they just want him screaming fuck the world. What's really missing is metaphors and his wit. Hopefully back for R2.

But the lines on DTW weren't bad, they're great. Just not 'wow' lines but the flow is wow, as usual.

If you think the "psycho' in his songs is still the same then you're in denial.

No I don't think the psycho shit now is the same. But why would it be.

He purposely switches styles completely every album, he's said this himself that there's no point if you sound the same as on your last album. So he's not gonna make music that sounds the same as decade ago. I agree he's lost some of his wit. He needs to use more metaphors again.

But stuff like "Stay Wide Awake" and "Buffalo Bill" is untouchable and way better in terms of exploring the psycho mindset than he did before. Apart from Kim but that was due to the intense voice acting. But shit like this, he's delving into every possible aspect of the mindset, beautiful vivid descriptions.

I'm glad he don't sound the same. I want a new Em not a reincarnation of the old one.

Also, due to his flows and manic wordplay, I'm finding his new shit some of his most addictive music period. It's so layered that first time, it's enjoyment then the more you listen again and again the more you hear, the better it becomes.

Lyrically, it's filled with multies, but the content is horrendous, IMO.

Serial killing was decent enough first time around, but after a whole record filled with the same song and dance, pardon my pun, it gets hard to stay wide awake, pardon my pun, throughout the whole "underground", pardon my pun, record.
Yo, from the first to the last of it; delivery is passionate/
The whole and not the half of it; vocab and not the math of it/
Projectile that them blasted with; accurate assassin shit/
Me and Kweli close like... Bethlehem and Nazareth/

I actually read all the lyric including that part, but imo there's nothing special. I respect your opinion though and I understand why people like this song, it's a good pump up song.

there you go. I'd give it to his flow but classic track ask for more than good flow, that's why it's not classic or anywhere near it like a lot of ppl saying.

because his old "psycho" shit>>>>>> new psycho shit?

Also, didn't he say he wanted to relapse to his first 2 albums and he compares Relapse to SSLP? that's why I say he failed.

Well not really.

They're so different I can't really compare them. It's like it's hard to compare TES to SSLP IMO because they're so different and both excell for different reasons.

His old psycho shit felt more raw, in terms of... More realistic maybe because he wasn't trying to be too complex.

But I love complexity and I prefer his new stuff for that. It's on another level and I'm glad he did it because the flows are pure magic.

I'm loving this track. Even Wayne's verses, never thought I'd say that, but his verses and the hook are brilliant on Drop The World. The hook in particular really pumps me up, when both rappers lead their verses into it it just ascends into an ass kicking anthem. Fair enough, have to agree with Alaine, there is nothing of real substance in the lyrical content on this track, if their is it's probably from Wayne. But, Eminem's flow and delivery in his verse are still the highlight of the track for me. His verse hasn't got as many multi's as his rapid flow verse in "Forever" did, but I still prefer this verse because of his flow and the aggression in his delivery.

One of his best collabs actually.

add "in my opinion" to my sentence then :y: I'm just not into horrorcore, that's one of the reasons I can't get into Relapse.

Well I would of thought it was very much implied when using terms like "to me" and talking about personal preference. You don't need to state it all the time, only if it could be seen as you stating as fact. Which I don't think that could, was from my perspective.

And okay fair enough, not into horrorcore. That means you don't like it as much then. I think there's a big difference to the music actually being worse - Lyrically, musically and artistically and a personal preference of subject matter.

In terms of rhyming and flow, he's totally stepped it up.

rhyming & flow, yes, he's better now but think about it, rhyming & flow is not what drew me into Eminem's music in first place. There are other skillful rappers out there but Eminem's passionate energy + his wit in lyric is what made him stand out for me. 2 of those things you can't exactly find on Relapse.
