8 Mile/ Eminem Show era. Nothing will ever top this. He's better now but he just refuses to put out incredible songs anymore.. The talent is there more than ever with his flow. I just think if he does get it back, it'll go unnoticed. He was one of the most popular musicians ever during those years.

Definitely the MMLP/Devil's Night/TES/8 Mile era (2000-2002), but if I have to be more specific I'd say the TES/8 Mile era (2002). I think that's where his best music comes from and had he not made the film 8 Mile we probably could have gotten another TES or 8 mile soundtrack quality-like album.

I'm definitely a classic Angry Blonde / Crazy Shady fan (1999-2000).

Em was at his peak...he was hungry, angry, and was ready to take on all comers. It showed genuinely and his star power immediately started to stick out. You can listen to those tracks and still not fully get some of his lines until further listen. Like you said, his wit was sharp as fuck. Thats one of the main differences between Relapse Shady and Classic Shady. Classic Shady was witty, crazy, zany, ironic, and had a small lightness to him that just made it seem THAT much better. Relapse Shady is just dark, apparently multi-cultural (I mean listen to all of those accents), rape-driven, drug munching, and completely murderous....its definitely not like old Shady so when he talks about how Relapse was taking it back to '99, I just smh.

Yeah idk how any rapper or even musician can even really be on that level anymore, he was the last to get there with his sales and all that shit :y:
