^ Ditto. And Budden's cheesy self-proclomation, braggadocio 'wit' doesn't even approach or near-level that style / intelligence of wit.

I think budden has more deep lyrics that are easier to relate, but I mean that as in more songs. em has a lot that can relate, some of his best songs actually, but some are more specific to em. where budden uses words to show things in a broad perspective. so i think budden is better in that sense, but again because em is so popular I think it makes sense, he is more specific because of that. so i think em is not better in that sense, and making the listener able to relate is big :y:

^ Yeah but I wouldn't say that's a good thing.

I'm not just about 'relating'. I'm sick of hearing people say stuff like that lmao "aw man, you can just fucking relate you know".

For one I can relate to "Rock Bottom" more than any Budden song.

Two, it ain't even about that. Being broad isn't a good thing. Broad = Watered down, compromised to please more people. All the best things are aquired tastes that are tailored artistic visions.

Now what would you like music for if you cant relate to it....thats pretty much the biggest reason I like what I do. Sure, i cant relate to every topic covered in the music I listen to (eg Em's serial rapist rhymes) but I just feel like the mindstate is similar, and I can relate to his careless flow. I can relate to how Eminem just dont give a fuck, but he has gotten a bit soft with all the lindsey lohan, chris reeves repetition.

This topic is basically pointless, because were in a forum based on Eminem (therefore it is loaded with "stans"). All the well educated listeners can give their opinions on the rap game as a whole, then the stans come through with their one-sided logic on why nobody is near Em's quality.

To me, Em is second to the top of my hip-hop mountain, with 2pac reaching the peak, and Atmosphere being 3rd. Its all relative to each person. I happen to best relate and enjoy those 3 artists tho..

Again, you're on a Eminem board telling people to stop liking Eminem so much. What the fuck do you expect? That's all I see you doing is insulting Eminem fans for liking him. You obviously like him more Mr. 2000+ post count.

Many of which haven't been in the Eminem section, or have been debating with actual intelligent hip hop fans about eminem. The smart people on this forum are actually cool to talk to. The Stans is just the dregs of the forum. :y: LilWayne4Life >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> All You Stans

Stanley Ipkiss, this is the answer to your "why the hate" inquiry in the afterparty section.
My very first post to you, after your very first post to us, mine to see thou'st at prudence's behest.
Well, I called it right, did I not?

Eminem is the only rapper that can actually make me laugh with his lyrics. Just the way he describes shit, I can listen to a song that I've been listening to for 10 years, and I still find new shit in his lyrics. And his jokes creep up on you, You don't laugh until he's way past it. Then you're just scrambling around trying to rewind.

"Forget-a-chorus, my metaphors are so complicated
it takes six minutes to get applause
And by the time you all catch on, I'ma end your career
and walk away with the whole floor so you have nothin to fall back on"

Shit like that, when it finally processes in your mind you get this sudden jolt of excitement and in only for a few small seconds, and big smile on your face.

That's why Eminem is #1 in my book.
i'm comin in, drivin my short bus
with this nose i don't need a torch up
bustin through, light the industry's porsche up
comin after who didn't support us...
imma change your brain bring
every wicked bit of strange to mainstream
