Nope, slimsox has it right. The Saints will play the lowest remaining team in the NFC. Which could be the Eagles or the winner of Packers vs. Cardinals. That's the advantage of being the #1 team in the conference, along with home-field advantage throughout, and the first round bye, which the #2 also gets. The rule is implicitly stating that the lower ranked teams are worse, thus easier to beat than the higher ranked teams. Thus, this is supposed to give the #1 team the easiest road to the Super Bowl. Ofcourse, lower ranked teams have managed to get into and win the Super Bowl, so it comes down to matchups and play, but the rule is set up to benefit the #1 team the most.
