i was just listening to the version where only em spits, and it seems like dre was on the 1st and 3rd verse (his type of flow, catch phrases "other half are in the club like 'oh yeah'"

maybe when it got discovered unfinished 50 jumped on it coz dre scrapped it coz it's in the making of another classic - 'detox'
ideas?

Em said it was originally for 50's but then when it did so well they put it on his. One of the worst moves he's ever made too. Putting that track on there. Totally sticks out.

I think it probably was originally made for Detox because yeah it seemed all verses were for Dre first.

Then they probably added 50 and were gonna put it on 50's. Then it went to #1 and they put it on Em's.

^^ I agree with that. Also, I dunno if this has any relevance, but I'm pretty sure Dre stole the beat for that song I think there was another song in Holland or somewhere in that area where it had like, a nearly 100% identical beat.

Sampling is part of Hip Hop, it's where it started, sampling is its roots..

He took a foreign Classical song that listening to before CAB, you wouldn't have thought much of. Then he turned it in to a fuckin' awesome beat, that sounds bangin' in the Clubs and in the car. He has him to thank for his only number one of the year.

yeah what is with these guys dissing sampling now...I'd say Dre is the best at masking his samples into the beat. Some producers use the lame girl singing in high pitch samples, and thats all you hear. At least Dre comes through strong everytime.

^ Yeah but there's a difference between sampling something and re-working it. Or sampling elements or sampling many songs but ultimately, creating a new beat from it. And just ripping an entire melody.

And with "Crack a Bottle" that's what he did. It's a french pianist's tune and the original sounds practically identical to 'dre's'. It's a shame most don't know that and think it's 'dre's beat'. He just made it louder and added drums.

Same with "Kill You".

It was on relapse because it went #1 and no one elses albums were coming out anytime soon, it's really not that hard to understand why they did that.

Agree with that except for Dejavu. But beautiful, underground, stay wide awake, same song & dance, and OTS are better. That's why I said quarter of the album.
