Rakim's albums not even on here and it was better than half this bullshit garbage

It's just like every "mainstream" rap blog. All the big/major artists even when they release shit is praised, and all the lower caliber (popularity wise) artists are frowned up even when their shit is a million times better than anything else out. I'm sick of it! :n:

Many dope hip-hop tracks got R&B singers for the chorus. It depends on how you apply them. :n:
Yo, from the first to the last of it; delivery is passionate/
The whole and not the half of it; vocab and not the math of it/
Projectile that them blasted with; accurate assassin shit/

How the fuck does The Blueprint 3 top Only Built 4 Cuban Linx Pt. II? I think Relapse falls in a good position, it's not exactly any better than most albums to be deadly honest. Mos Def should of got a better position though.

I hated Ecstatic, I think I deleted it after listening to 30 seconds of each track

Well Relapse ain't any better that's for sure.

I thought so but prob because I hadn't had any Em for a while

Same for me actually, I first heard it and I was like yay, love this song, love that song but as time passed I realised it wasn't that good. Really just because it all felt the same, critics did give it worse reviews than it deserved but I do see why it got them. And about The Ecstatic, I was only being like that because it feels to me that there aren't many other albums which have been really good.

Cause the shit I hear is crazy
But your either getting lazy or you don't believe in you no more
Seems like your own opinions, not one you can form
Cant make a decision you keep questioning yourself
Second guessing and its almost like your begging for my help

10. Cormega- Born and Raised
9. Fashawn- Boy Meets World
8. DOOM- Born Like This
7. Apathy- Wanna Snuggle?
6. Mos Def- The Ecstatic
5. Brother Ali- Us
4. J-Dilla- Jay $tay Paid
3. Raekwon- Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II
2. Finale- A Pipedream and a Promise
1. Blaq Poet- The Blaqprint

So hard to create a list though.. Mine changes all of the time.

that album was trash

I thought it was a top 5 album this year. He's always great lyrical, never boring, and it has some great beats (I think Ant of Atmosphere was the executive producer on it. I'm not 100% sure, to be honest). Maybe you don't like Brother Ali, but he's never put anything out that was "trash". Best white rapper out right now :shifty:

White rappers suck atm, I will say Slug is one of my favs though

I just felt his album was dull though, Ali's voice is already soft and I didn't like how the production went with it

White rappers are bigger now than they ever have been. Brother Ali, Eminem, Slug, Everlast, Aesop Rock, El-P, Cage, Vinnie Paz, Apathy, Celph Titled, RA the Rugged Man are all highly respected in hip-hop. So to say they are horrible right now.. is just wrong. I'm done with this discussion because this isn't what this thread's about. No need to get off-topic.
