OK, don't meant to rain on your parade but you are not describing ADHD. I know a lot of people with it, and yes it's where they can't focus on tasks without immediate satisfaction. ADHD and shit don't have anything to do with fucking depression though. IDK if even you know it though, since you are throwing a blanket "ADHD" term around a LOT of different things. I'm the same way as you describe, can't draw from my head but if there's a picture to look at I can draw it perfectly, even if it takes me hours. I've also got major depression and OCD, and smile hardly at all

. The shit about the dopamine is right, but the "obsessive" and "addicting" stuff is all from depression and OCD, with the depression "causing" the low dopamine levels. I'm the same way, once something really gets my attention it nags me until I get it done. Once I figure something out or do it enough I have to do it the same way and often make it a routine. Similar to the running thing with Em... It's OCD and depression, ADHD has nothing to do with it. That's about not being attentive, and if that were the case he wouldn't be able to spend all of his time writing rhymes and doing nothing.

Oh my goodness. No, believe me, I am speaking about ADHD and I know more than you could fucking imagine. I also know somebody with it... Two in fact - Myself and a friend.
I have been studying it
intensely for over a year also and I know
exactly what I am talking about and you absolutely do not.
Firstly, why do you think ADHD people can't focus on things without immediate stimulation? It's DUE to fucking low dopamine. It's a lack of natural brain resource to sustain attention and mood in order to carry out tasks which you don't feel motivated to carry out.
Also, the lack of ability to sustain attention from task to task is due to poor working memory. A specific type of memory that deals with task to task attention-span. This is what older people lose. They don't lose their general memory, this is why they can still remember things about their life and details about you. What they lose, is their working memory. Their task to task memory.
Working memory is a motor function. If you have ADHD, you are typically 3-4 years underdeveloped in this department. But over-developed in others. Like a car with no breaks. You have too many thought pathways and not enough equipment to deal with them. Or... The equipment you do have is under-developed, it's broken somewhat.
The lack of working memory is also why people with ADHD go off in tangents when speaking. Working memory is your attention span not just task to task. But of course, thought to thought. So this is why people with it often talk in circles, they interrupt themselves and others.
Low-dopamine, also the reason why they're incredibly impulsive is because low dopamines put you in a lower mood most of the time but when something raises that mood, you jump at it because it's an immediate change. You can't control the sudden rise. Which is why people with it jump in conversations, can't control the urge to say things etc.
Also the reason people with it are often argumentative. Not because they like fighting but because debates are a natural source of brain-stimulation and as anybody who knows me here knows, I debate every word. I don't feel like I can help it, it's just the way I naturally think and it's too overwhelming to fight. Your post for example made me want to eat my monitor in rage.
Depression doesn't cause the low-dopamines. Low-dopemines cause the depression and depression keeps them low. ADHD causes addictive behaviour due to a lack of natural brain stimulation which the ADHD-person is constantly trying to compensate for. Either with conflict seeking behaviour (debates etc.), drugs, gambling, video games, anything which gives this person immediate high-stimulation.
Oh, just gotta insert - LMMMMFAAAAOOO at your bit about ADHD having 'nothing' to do with depression. You've just proven to me you know FUCK ALL about ADHD you insulting moron. It's been proven beyond reasonable doubt that ADHD causes much higher rates of depression. This is why you are prescribed RITALIN. Ritalin helps you focus and think clearer by giving you a dopamine boost, a consistent rise over a time span of hours.
Don't forget, dopamines control your MOOOOOOOD too. They control how happy you feel. Remember that. So if you have abnormally LOW levels of dopamine going to your brain (what you use to control your body) - then OBVIOUSLY you will feel fucking low, by your very nature. You can't be happy when your natural state is unhappy. This is why ADHD children constantly seek external stimulation, are more commonly isolated and glue themselves to video games.
They escape the boring reality and the external release provides non-stop relief.
ADHD isn't just a lack of attention you moron. The inability to focus your attention as well task to task and on things you don't immediately enjoy are just one small part in ADHD. It's a lack of working memory, it creates addictive behaviour, personality flaws, it's a brain-developmental disorder. It's a motor-function disorder. It's genetic, not learned. It's not behavioural, it's genetic and chemical.
This is the reason for the natural state of low and depression. ADHD is absolutely tied and related to depression, confusion and aggetation in every way.
Oh and Eminem writing rhymes for hours is a perfect example of his addictive escapism. That's what he loves doing, it stimulates him. ADHD doesn't mean you can't pay attention to anything. It means you can't pay attention to things which don't interest or stimulate you, immediately.
He loves writing rhymes. Also, people with ADHD often go into a thing called 'hyper-focus' which he's described many times. Of just zoning out. I for example go on obsessive, information bursts, just hammering an entire World event for hours on end, totally losing myself in it and feeling like all the information is on a plate and I can't eat it fast enough. Insanely obsessive and escapist.
So why don't you take your shitty little Google News-informed, pop-knowledge, wipe your ass with it, flush it down the toilet and have the decency to challenge my informed knowledge of something I have when you know what the fuck you are talking about. You ignorant piece of shit. FLUSH.
