Well it's not hard being a fan of anybody to be honest. Supporting somebody isn't really an effort, more of a hobby lmao, if you like their work it's fun not work.
As for defending him as the best ever etc. Em's already done the arguing for me. I don't need to ever do much other than highlight his genius, a lot harder if you think somebody like Wayne is the best but even people who don't like rap or even Em rarely deny he's majorly talented.
Even my English teacher who I had a chat with on Facebook the other week (left school about 3 years ago) said Em is an amazing writer and they should teach him in English classes. True writers and studiers of the language (especially poets) appreciate him and know he's the best.
It's only 'hard' / annoying as you say because of the output rate. I mean he doesn't put out as much as other big artists but when his stuff does come it's always 10 times as good as theirs so it's always worth the wait. Just like Tarrantino, he starts from scratch everytime and puts his all into every project so it takes a lot longer. But when he's finished, you get a true piece of art from QT's brain just like Em.
It's better in he long run because he doesn't spread himself thin, it's how you stay exciting and keep your momentum. It's why after 12 years of being signed people are still exploding in their shorts over a freestyle and why newspapers run 50 headlines everytime he sneezes. Because he makes his appearances / interviews exclusive and handpicked. So it's an event. Just like the less of a certain resource there is, the more expensive and precious it becomes. When things are all over the place and easy to obtain, they cease to be special in any sense of the word. They're not unique.
