Em's Knee - Reason for Awkwardness?

I was just thinking - Em fucked up his knee in 2008 when playing basketball with 50 and had an operation on it.And he's only been awkward in his movements during sex and etc. Since he came back (after he had the operation).

So anybody think he simply can't vibe in the same way so he's trying to compensate and create a new rhythm behind it?

That could be a contributing factor.

Interesting thought, EmBase. Since he can't use prescription pain killers, he may still be experiencing pain, thus making his movements more inhibited.

Like you said, it would be logical to assume that, based on his condition, he may try to compensate by moving "in" the beat.

Or...perhaps he's uncomfortable with being on the stage. Maybe a combination of these factors.

BTW...off-topic...I know you've been busy with your business, but did you ever look into lulu in regards to your book?

i tore my acl playing baseball in high school, it took about 10 months to rehab and now it's better than ever. That kinda surgery is almost always successful so i'm positive it's not because of that. Being off drugs is probably the reason as he seems less and less awkward as time goes by, for obvious reasons.

Not sure but he had an operation on it so he must of tore a ligament or broke something to such an extreme that it required surgical fixing.

Never though of that, could be a reason.

Also, the fact that he hasn't done any major perfomances or tours in 5 years so getting himself back performing how he wants, may make him feel a bit nervous/shy.

2 years have passed since the operation, I don't think that's the reason.
He wasn't comfortable after 3-4 years of absence.

It's like he's fundamentally lost his inner-ryhthm it's weird.

He did however look totally natural when performing LL's "Rock the Bells". Like his old self. So maybe it's just his new flows n styles he's getting used to. Or maybe he's trying to attribute new actions to it.

If he does those robotic movements while performing R2, then you might be right about the knee.

and if he hurt it in 2008. i am sure its healed. he wouldnt be allowed to go on stage or play basketball unless it was fully heeled. his knee will probably always be screwed up now depending on what he did to it and he wears a brace when playing basketball but im sure its heeled by now. wonder if he has a scar from it.
