Arguing with you is like bashing my head against a brick wall. You just type 6 paragraphs and never answer the question. Yea of course you can see skill in a song or no skill in a song. But you said you can determine if the rapper is good or not from 1 song. Which you are wrong. If you were to listen to the new Slick Rick freestyle over the "I Wanna Rock" track by Snoop, you would have a very definitive opinion on the song. I wanna hear it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gv_HOWJOFQAUse your super powers of telling how good an artist is off of one song on that link.
YES YOU FUCKING DID. QUUUUOOOOOOOTEEEEEEE:
You said you could tell from the flow that he has skill? Well then (sinne we were talking about Cashis) Cashis has songs when his flow is perfect. Why does he translate to you as trash? You see right there, you telling me his flow is perfect and asking me why he translates as trash to me. At leas know YOUR OWN posts before contradicting yourself so stupidly.
This is why arguing with you is like stabbing my penis head repeatedly with a fucking fork.
And yes you can absolutely tell from one song. You're too stupid to get what I'm saying. I've explained it over and over and you're still not getting it. It doesn't matter if the rapper in question is having a good day or bad day on the song. You can hear FUNDA-FUCKING-MENTALLY if they have skills.
I can listen to Nas' worst song of his career and still immediately tell that he's a student of hip-hop. Still immediately tell that his rhymes are tight, that his flow is sharp, that he knows what he's doing. You're telling me you couldn't tell from "The Way I Am" Eminem was good? or from "Crank That" that Soulja Boy was trash? If you couldn't I feel sorry for you and your taste.
Doesn't matter if it's Em's or Nas' or Mos' worst song lyrically, if they're totally off because they're so skilled at what they do you can hear it anyway. Just like Tyson - Even when he lost fights you were still mezmorized by his skillset. He still LOOKED the better boxer. You could still understand why this man ruled the boxing World. Where as bum boxers, even when they won, you were surprised they won.
This is why with people like Ca$his or 50 people say "You'll be surprised" because their default position is bumville. You don't expect quality from them. They don't portray quality, if they did people wouldn't say this. I think you're confusing deciding whether they have skills with forming a full opinion on them.
As I'll say for the third time now, I'm not talking about your opinion never being changed but you CAN tell immediately whether or not they have skills. And in Ca$his' case, he doesn't. Not to me. And I don't need to hear 50 tracks to tell me that. I could tell from the 1st and it was re-confirmed on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th all the way up to about the 7th and 8th. Sure he could improve but as of now. He's SHIT. And yes I KNOW you don't like him either so you say. Not the point. Point is you can tell immediately.
