I mean, he's been with the same "crew" for most of his career. He probably wants to get out there a bit and do what other rappers do for a change...probably just wants something new. It's also a way to stay relevant in his down-time. All of these appearances will only help the sales of R2, because people will want more of Em. (Hopefully).

tl;dr: It's smart to do, it will help R2's sales.

Ok? I wasn't talking about B.o.B, I never even mentioned him, so I don't know where you got that idea. I was talking about his collaboration work in general. I was saying it's a good thing to do what he's doing simply to get his name out there when he's not putting out any of his own stuff, he did a track with Wayne, Drake and Kayne, and one with just Wayne. It's good business. I also stated in my post he's probably doing it because he wants something new...

Anyway, I think it's a combo of both pleasure and business, as I'm sure he wouldn't work with someone he hates just for sales. Lil Wayne/Kayne are/were probably bigger than him at the time of the collaboration. Just by doing material with them he got so many more ears that listened to him that normally wouldn't listen to him. I know a couple people I know are REALLY excited for his album now, that weren't before his collabo. Does that speak for everyone? No, but I'm guessing more people feel that way. There's always a business side to things. I'm also no way shape or form a business person, but I think it's a little naive to think NONE of his current work is based off of smart business. Like I said, it's probably a little of both- Business and pleasure. One might outweigh the other, but both are in the formula.
