But I was talking in general mostly, this is not the first time this question came up, I don't see what's so hard to understand about who he WANTS to work with, it's about who he likes to work with, not us. Why do people always have to make things all about business? smh. He never did songs with Drake, Wayne, b.o.b before the break because they were not there (well wayne was non-existence that time), the type of rappers like Drake, b.o.b.. blew up after he took a break (Kayne being pioneer for those type of rappers).
Mis-communication, understandable.
Anyway, I think it's a combo of both pleasure and business, as I'm sure he wouldn't work with someone he hates just for sales. Lil Wayne/Kayne are/were probably bigger than him at the time of the collaboration. Just by doing material with them he got so many more ears that listened to him that normally wouldn't listen to him. I know a couple people I know are REALLY excited for his album now, that weren't before his collabo. Does that speak for everyone? No, but I'm guessing more people feel that way. There's always a business side to things. I'm also no way shape or form a business person, but I think it's a little naive to think NONE of his current work is based off of smart business. Like I said, it's probably a little of both- Business and pleasure. One might outweigh the other, but both are in the formula.
