What do you think changed Em the most?

Postby timeconsumer » May 6th, '10, 14:14

i was looking at the not afraid video shoot video/ pics and just wondered
was it the prescription drugs or proof getting killed.

seriously think about it, it is astounding how different he is and uncomfortable/ shy in public situations i think even if my best friend died i would recover and still be able to smile and enjoy life, he says he is but it never looks to me like hes happy anymore. i know nothing about the effects of drug abuse so i cant say if its obviously the drugs which did it. basically, his whole personality is permanently altered and i didnt think this happens just with age and maturing.

he was always social awkward  only thing different that he was in drugs before so it made him careless, now he's sober so he looks more focus :flutter:

hmm ive seen some interviews from 98-99 and i can tell he isnt on drugs in a lot of them and he is still much more happy and relaxed, and then in the period after the eminem show he was clean then and doin ok. its just such a shame i think.

^ what? after Eminem show was the time he was heavily on drugs.
Like I said, he was always social awkward, but because of the drugs & obviously Proof's death. he doesn't want to be open with the public anymore.

nah he wasnt, or me and you have very different definitions of socially awkward. have you not seen the vids of him walking around on the street/ making fun of the public for funny sketches etc.

He seemed to be on drugs in many of his earlier interviews to me.

Right, that's what I'm saying...he wasn't as awkward earlier on, because he was high.

It's not necessarily that he's changed to the point that he's constantly serious, it's the fact that he's constantly sober. That's all I was saying.

I was agreeing with you...but not the other poster.

we all know he was high a lot of the time back then but he wasnt high in every interview he ever did, and i can tell and ive watched a lot of his interviews! basically yes he was high a lot but when he wasnt he wasnt anywhere near how he is now which is what Alaine was trying to suggest.

Perhaps...

Are there any YouTube videos you can link us where he isn't high, and is still comfortable? I'm just curious, as I haven't seen them, but I'd be interested to.

^ @timeconsumer he was hyper because of the drugs (main reason as I answered to topic's question) & maybe, just maybe it was yearssss ago since those "interviews" you mentioned? I think you knew pretty well all the stuff happened during that time right? do people still expect him to act half his age or something?

i cant really understand your post man but he never acted "half his age" when he was younger, i dont mean "hyper" or crazy i just mean socially comfortable. i typed in eminem interview and the first one i got proves my point http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bfHsA4QEZM
