But hey that Rihanna hook was alright! Cinderella man is too goofy. The album really doesn't have much on it. On Fire is stupid cuz it's not Ems style. Sounds kind of like Drop the bomb on Em. Boy Em sure tried to make a new style and it didn't work. Epic fail.Trust me, I know this to be true. I can tell.
OK all-mighty SACJB, thanks to your great insight and opinion - I will now NOT buy a copy of Recovery - Why would I? I mean, SACJB says it's gonna be a sure disappointment...
Seriously GTFO with this lame ass attitude - Em/interscope have obviously chosen the tracklist of a reason. As a fan of the man, have a little faith? Have he disappointed you since Relapse? (at least not me).
Em will have every verse on the album except 1/2 (which is Wayne's - and he obviously must've killed it if he's on the album, but no other rapper). Think about it, a couple of weeks ago people were bitching/worrying about that there was going to be too many features on the album - now there's ONE single rap-feature + 2 extremely popular & talented female artists singing the chorus on TWO tracks (out of 16/18), + Kobe. Also, people have been complaining lately how the 50 and D12 tracks only going to be filler tracks, well now there are none of them, happy? no, no... (Although, I suspect there might be a d12 or royce track on one of the bonus tracks)
We all know Em has matured, this album will be more serious and that he's been reaching out to several new producers - with that in mind, is it really that surprising that Em is collaborating with new type of artists? No.
As for the motive behind these collaborations - they are obviously possible single releases - which with a female hook can do VERY WELL on the radio. Also, Em will possibly broaden his fan base with collabs with artists from different genres.
For those desperate for Em collabs, you don’t have to be worried this year - Em will appear on TONS of albums this year (as confirmed by several artists). I mean, we have:
- Lil’ Wayne (Rebirth then possibly The Carter 4)
- B.o.B
- D12
- Dre (Detox)
- 50cent
- T.I.
- Slaughterhouse
- AND MORE…
