I think that, most of y'all are in your teenage years like around 15, or either discovered eminem 5 years ago. Because If you grew up on MMLP and TES like I did (i'm 22 now) you would pretty much feel like I do.

And bitches, it is a good album, it's just 4 or 5 cuts that I just can't believe he made them!

Actually I like that he has made a few songs towards women that don't end up in them being abused or killed. I love Kim and Stay Wide Awake, but an artist should have a lot of colours on their palette. You must not remember "Searchin'" from Infinite? It's cornier than all of the songs on "Recovery", but it's lyrically brilliant, so it's one of my faves. I think the best thing EMinem has that I appreciate is the skill. Yes, he has the crazy Shady rhymes, the dark concept rhymes from MMLP, the uplifting songs like Lose YOurself and Sing For The Moment. But most tracks are basically random witty lyrical rhymes layed perfectly to a beat. No one can flow to a beat like Eminem, imo, that's his biggest gift. The content has always been questionable and sporadically good or bad. But the skill is what keeps the fans tagging along, and what keeps him at the top of the game.

Problems with MMLP:
Too controversial, too agressive, production too stripped down

Problems with TES:
He went commercial, not juvenille or controversial enough, too much whining, Em produces most of it

It was released

Accent, serial killer subject matter became boring, uninspired Dre beats, too juvenille

Problems with Recovery:
Aggresive delivery, personal subject matter & concepts are boring, uninspired production/not enough Dre beats, singing on hooks

The fact is no matter what Em does, he is critisised for it, Em changed on EVERY single album, compare MMLP to TES, two totally different albums, compare Relapse to Encore, its not like Em suddenly became different - he always switched it up, he just gets shitted on for doing it whereas others don't

Well said, you made a good point. The only album that deserved the criticism was Encore, as it was a huge step down in standards of skill and lyricism (Besides maybe 1 or 2 tracks). Which makes it lesser albums than the rest. I've enjoyed Relapse and Recovery much more than Encore, because of that. But the great song concepts from SSLP, MMLP and TES mean they are still his crowning achievements.
The great thing about these last two albums, is that he has proven he hasn't lost the flow or the lyricism. I still miss the dark twisted song concepts though, can he bring them back?
