I totally agree. Relapse is a concept album that I highly appreciate because of the lyrical creativity. The horrocore inspired moments added more edge. Whether you liked it or not, Relapse belongs in his discography and without it I don't believe Recovery would turn out the way it did!
In brief, Recovery needed Relapse. Make of it what you want...

finally some people agreeing with me.

it's interesting how before Recovery, the amount of people liking : not liking Relapse was about 60% : 40% respectively. but since Recovery leaked it's like 5% : 95% now.

RadioactiveDuckling wrote:Agree with the post, but I really liked Encore I don't know why people hate on it. It had some really good tracks quit a few actually. Relapse was good as well except for the accent & I think that's why people hated Relapse but that's okay, because Eminem wanted too do something different so I understand. :y:
Ithink the reason encore is hated so much is, because 1, its eminems worst CD,lyrically and creatively,2, it was released ofter TES, so it was a HUGE disappointment.

and it also doesnt age well,as far as what Em was saying on the songs, while TES was the perfect blend of comedy and serious stuff,Encore was just silly except for like 2 songs.

Relapse is not a bad album by any means, when it hits, it hits hard, has its filler but who cares
My main problem with Relapse is it lacks replay value to me (I havent played it since last June), maybe Ill appreciate more in a few years
Same sword they knight you they gon' good night you with
Sh.., Thats' only half if they like you
That ain't even the half what they might do
Don't believe me, ask Michael
See Martin, see Malcolm
You see Biggie, see Pac, see success and its outcome
See Jesus, see Judas; see Caesar, see Brutus
See success is like suicide
Suicide, it's a suicide
If you succeed, prepare to be crucified

i can understand that, and certainly everyone is entitled to their opinion. but when over half the people on the forum are like "this shit sucks" it's kinda ridiculous.
