haha hairjordon is such a cocky little bitch know it all

and LOL @ that weezy guy 4 life ... whatd he say something like... "he'll be lucky to do 500k?"

Shady’s back, all right. Eminem's sales continue to grow, and in our latest upward revision this morning, we're now calling the Recovery number 700-750k. That means the album isn't just a lock to top the first week of his previous release, Relapse, it's on track to be the biggest debut since AC/DC's Black Ice bowed with 784k back in 2008. With the weekend ahead, it's now just a question of how high it can go. Here are the seedings for next week's Top 15:

* Eminem (Shady/Aftermath/Interscope) 700-750kRecovery
Drake (Young Money/Cash Money/Universal Motown) 150-160k

sit the fuck down both of you are in timeout.

Hairyjordon u might want to save yourself the embarrassment and leave now. :wave: :wave: :wave:

and drake got fuckin shit on, thats for the rest of you jackasses sayin drake was gonna do 500k and em was gonna do 300k :laughing: :laughing: :laughing: :laughing:

True enough and Em built enough hype off TSSLP album to shatter records on his next album.Drake has wrongfully been hyped as the next big thing for well over a year now and has had an EP selling on Billboard for ages(that could be seen as his debut)Eminem came out of nowhere until My Name is hit the airwaves

Once TSSLP was out and people got know about Eminem it sold huge numbers like all his other albums(6millionish worldwide isnt bad)

The internet also helps with hype tbh, an example is 50 Cent, he was pushed out around the time EVERYONE was starting to have internet access and forums were really buzzing, they were discussing everything and everyone.

In 1999 Hip Hop Heads would read Hip Hop magazines looking for the latest news on artists, people not too fussed on Hip Hop / Rap wouldn't bother meaning it was much more difficult to push a new artist.

Everyone is saying the internet generation is what is killing the industry, but in a backwards way it's also what's keeping it alive, even if people weren't able to download music online there would still be people making fake CD's and selling them, people will do anything to get something cheap, it's human nature, the internet just made it easy for everyone to do.
