Ok, apologies for the depressing title.

I used to post on the eminem forum a decade ago when Eminem first came out (I was 13 at the time) I'm 24 now so I've been a fan for a long time.... anyway... thought I would introduce myself.

I was just listenning to his song ''Spacebound''. I know a lot of fans will argue this song is not about Kim and it's about drugs but he makes a lot of references that make a lot more sense to me if it were about Kim.

So at the beginning of "Spacebound" the sirens are going off symbolising the aftermath of suicide.

"you must be a sorceress
Cause you just, did the impossible, gained my trust"

Kim Mathers gave a few interviews after the second divorce to clear up misconceptions but she could have acted a lot worse and could have milked the hype for all it was worth but chose not to, she could have written a book, become a celebrity in her own right, it just wasn't what she wanted.

"Cause if I get burnt, I'ma show ya what it's like to hurt
Cause I've been treated like dirt befo' ya"

Could be a refernce to his girlfriend before Kim.

"Nobody knows me, I'm cold, walk down this road all alone
It's no one's fault but my own, it's the path I've chosen to go"

So he's regretting the abuse he dished out to Kim. He has millions of fans but he feels isolated because none of his fans really "know" him.

Referring to the woman who are constantly throwing themselves at him, hungry for fame, money etc...

So he's worn out from all the arguing, fighting, ups and downs and he's emotionally damaged and hurt.

Some fans say he's referring to the after effects of drugs, it could be drugs he's referring to but I think it's Kim and it doesn't make sense to suddenly talk about drugs.

They married In June 1999, then divorced in August 2000, that's 14 months then remarried in first week of January 2006 and divorced in the first week of May 2006, that's another 4 months, making it 1 year and 6 months marriage.

Saying he would rather die then live without her in his life...

I guess this part is self explanatory.... the point where he kills himself and is a star in the sky..

You took the lyrics incredibly literally. It's undeniable that, for all the people who wanna throw hyperbolic theories that he's talking about hip hop, his relationship with Kim inspired most of the lyrics of the song. Does the fact that he hints at suicide at the end mean he's going to kill himself? Well, to suggest so is also to suggest that he's capable of throwing her off a cliff with his daughter, or tying a still alive Kim to a bed in a burning house, or even killing women by forcibly shoving bullets through their skin.

Yes I took them incredibly literally, I just couldn't help it, I was trying to get a better understanding. I see how I could have hit a nerve asking his fans whether he would kill himself. I didn't exactly get off on the right foot by asking that lol...
