I'd certainly like it to happen, purely just out of interest.
Why not?
We got Encore/Relapse and it would probably be better than those two so yeah
Doubt it.
Jay hasn't made anything worth listening to since Bluprint and both Encore and Relapse > anything Jay has done (except Reasonable Doubt & Bluprint).
AND Em is off the pills now, so you can ATLEAST expect Recovery standard from his new stuff, maybe even better.
smh @ this post. It's like hip-hop fans just accept BP and RD as classics because everyone says so. Like Encore is wack, Kingdom was wack, I AM/Nastradaus was wack. This is a classic, bla bla bla. Stop following general consensus, or what XXL rates "XXL" or Five Mics.
BP and RD the only good Jay albums, yeah right. The Black album anyone?
Hasn't been good since BP3? Is that the cool thing to say now? His verses on Free Mason, Hot Toddy, Power rmx, and Monster are all fire.

Well, I don't care really what you're like on the inside and I just really want you to come to bed with me. Would you do that if you could? Even if you were just average on the outside (but not fat) I could like you if you sounded smart.

You write a whole lot, but the only thing you're saying is that i base my opinion on genral consensus. I don't read XXL or The Saurce, but i do listen to the music and in my god damn own opinion Jay Z has fallen the fuck off. I hold his two first albums high and give them regular spins, but after that Jay Z hasn't given me anything new. He is saying the same shit, with the same couple of flows and he never challenges himself. Constantly staying in his comfort zone.
Maybe it's because he's turned in to an extremly talented and successful businessman where rapping is priority number two or because fame got the better of him, but Jay Z no longer has anything to offer hip hop in terms over orginality or taking it to the next level.
I will say this though, The Black album is a good album. Again, nothing new, but very well done.

So his best shit is RD and BP, right? But you listen to his first two (RD and In My Life, Vol 1). I have a feeling you think BP is his 2nd album. I KNOW you haven't listened to Jays full discography, and I'd even put money that you haven't heard RD from start to finish.
The Black Album is good sure, but nothing new. Okay, the same could be said about almost every album, since there isn't that many game changers.
And yes, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. But they aren't of the same value. You get an opinion on your health from a doctor, real estate opinion from an agent, etc. How much is your opinion worth on hip-hop if you don't know what you're talking about? (this is not a shot at anyone, so don't get emotional)
There is so many Em fans who want to prove that they love hip-hop, it's a joke. It's okay to like a rapper and not rap, it's OKAY. But instead of people being true to themselves, so many just put on this corny act bumping their corny ass underground music claiming their down, it's a fkn joke.
Eminem and Jay are opposites. If you like Eminem and not rap, I don't expect you to turn on RD and see the genius of it, it's a foreign sound. But still, some people just downright lie to themselves.

I actually think it's a great album.
And even though Nas IS a better MC,I don't think he's THAT much better as you made him look in your post.
