But, yeah, Eminem right now is really stuck in an experimental phase. Whether he'll come out of it as a great emcee or not, is a difficult question. It seems like he's succumbing to a level way below his pedestal. His song with Slaughterhouse will --probably-- gives us some more insight into wich way his graphical-musical-curve is heading.
Nas, on the other hand, had a great album with Damian Marley. And even his Untitled album before that was good. His albums are almost never too much under his level, it's usually either really good, OK, or normal.
Yeah, I've noticed N9ne is more of an acquired taste.
You can really tell with Eminem that he's not too sure what to do. He does one thing and runs it into the ground (punchlines, accent), it's like he doesn't know how he should sound anymore. Hopefully he'll come to an even footing and at least rhyme wise be close to where he was. You can tell he's almost there and has the potential obviously with what he's been doing the past year but he isn't there yet.
Hopefully working with quality rappers (and not mainstream or YM bs) will get him back in form. And Nas is definitely doing awesome right now, I loved DR. With Nas, I've noticed he usually delivers an awesome album, then an alright one, then repeats. For Em, he did amazing, did shitty, and is now slowly inclining so we'll see.
