lol We have a really similar list (except I'd throw N9na in there somewhere).
But I agree to an extent. When the Cross came out, Nas would've had done to him what happened to Jay just because until Encore, Em was virtually flawless. Right now, with Em, it's either hit or miss, but I think working with someone he respects and admires like Nas would bring the best out of him and it'd (hopefully) be close.

Tech N9ne is dope, but, he doesn't really appeal to me. Don't know why.

But, yeah, Eminem right now is really stuck in an experimental phase. Whether he'll come out of it as a great emcee or not, is a difficult question. It seems like he's succumbing to a level way below his pedestal. His song with Slaughterhouse will --probably-- gives us some more insight into wich way his graphical-musical-curve is heading.

Nas, on the other hand, had a great album with Damian Marely. And even his Untitled album before that was good. His albums are almost never too much under his level, it's usually either really good, OK, or normal.

Yeah, I've noticed N9ne is more of an acquired taste.

You can really tell with Eminem that he's not too sure what to do. He does one thing and runs it into the ground (punchlines, accent), it's like he doesn't know how he should sound anymore. Hopefully he'll come to an even footing and at least rhyme wise be close to where he was. You can tell he's almost there and has the potential obviously with what he's been doing the past year but he isn't there yet.

Hopefully working with quality rappers (and not mainstream or YM bs) will get him back in form. And Nas is definitely doing awesome right now, I loved DR. With Nas, I've noticed he usually delivers an awesome album, then an alright one, then repeats. For Em, he did amazing, did shitty, and is now slowly inclining so we'll see.

Exactly, Nas' output trend is fluctuating in a consistent fashion, Eminem's not. Eminem's definitely looking for a style to grasp right now, it seems like the whole drugs fiasco is the reason he got lost in between styles. Being versatile is good, but this is clearly something else, this is Eminem trying to refind himself. And he hasn't yet. Hopefully he will, yes. Working with the likes of Slaughterhouse should help him with that. Let's hope he'll redeem his self.

Yeah, it's definitely not versatility what he's doing. It's way too all over the place to be called being versatile. And I hope he redeems & "finds" himself musically as well, it's almost embarrassing when one of your favorite rappers, the one that made you like the genre in the first place seems to have no idea what he's doing lately.

Yeah, well, the rapper that made me like the genre was Nas, together with Tupac. I found out about Eminem later, I believe at the age of 14 or something. Been listening to Nas and Pac since the age of 12, lol.

No one in my family or friends liked hip hop so Em was the first one I heard when he blew up. After that, it just kind of branched out from there. I had heard of Dre, Pac, & Nas but never really paid attention to them until after I became a big Em fan.

it would be too big of a force, the song would rip any speaker played through. A collab consisting of Em & Nas would make california break off instantly. And Jimmy Iovine knows this.

I see, haha. I remember having a cassette tape of It Was Written. Damn, lol.. Wasn't an original, though. It was a copy, got it from my uncle. He kind off got me into Hip Hop. I did know this dude in 8th grade that was a huge Eminem/D12 fan. So, I knew about Eminem, but never really got in to him, untill I heard The Way I Am. From that moment on I become a fan, lol.

That's cool. My family is really old fashioned with their music tastes so hip hop is essentially a no for them. It took me until around the time of Encore (ironic, right?) to pay attention to more of Em besides his singles.

@Arrinef. lol, it could, if it came out right possibly outdo Renegade. :flutter:

If they did who would you want to see produce it?

I would want Premo to produce it but if J Dilla was still alive I would have like him to produced it if it happened.

True, Dilla is a great producer. If not Preemo, I would like to see Salaam Remi producing it. Or, even better, let Eminem produce it.

Any of those would be amazing. Em producing & rapping on the same track can only be good thing. We know Nas does good on an Em beat. :y:
