No one mainstream would do it and anyone half decent from the underground would rip Em apart with so many points
Yeah but in logical defence of that - The true reason he was insulting all them back then, was to separate himself from them. To stop the media lumping him in with them, not because he had such deep personal vendettas against the people themselves.
There were exceptions like Christinia and Moby but for the most part it was for the sake of making sure he remained defined as a rapper not a pop star.
Now that he's firmly solidified himself as a lyricist, rapper and hip-hop artists in the books, there's no reason for him to do that now. He did it on
Relapse but it was in a nostalgic way, just for the sake of harping back to that era and having people with baggage to chop up.
And, as much as I dislike Drake, he's not in the same category as Britney Spears lmao. BUT, Em does sometimes exercise double-standards. Like for example saying no more beef and it's stupid etc. but then releasing a scathing diss (instantly) against Mariah, for her responding to age-old shit HE fucking brought back up lmao.
N' then just totally ignores Canibus. Who did in fact mention Proof and Hailie. Just act like he's too big for it, yet isn't too big to keep hashing back and forth with a washed up slag about a supposed affair a decade ago.
N' Bis' inclusion of that recording on that track was a nice move. The diss is crap but that recording shows Em contradicting himself for not responding. Saying that no matter how big he gets, whoever you are - Big or small, he will respond to you.
