Jay does that. Not Em. He reads them off of a paper. People think about it, we got REAL lyric sheets in TWIA book. That's proof right there that he uses paper to record. He's never really used technology to read off lyrics when recording because he never was a real technology guy until recent, and we have proof from the book, from videos etc.

he was talking about typing for the recovery booklet (which he did not do a good job at all, so many faults in the booklet)

The question is how he lays his vocals. Does he read them like in No Love or does he memorize them and lay them without holding the sheet in his hand and reading them?

I think he never records a song in 1 take. Em´s a perfectionist, there is always something to improve. He probably records a song several times, so i think that when he does the final version of the song he already has memorized the lyrics. Thats only my thoughts anyway

To record a song like Kim, you can't be reading off a sheet. You have to be moving your hands to generate that sort of emotion in your voice, if you get what I mean. Literally screaming into the microphone.

but i think when ur writing something and constantly reviewing it over and over,it gets stuck in your head.

Em is a perfectionist,propably records a verse like 8 times before he gets it right,or is fully satisfied with it,so by that time,he memorizes it.

He may have certain notes or whatever, but there's no way he records reading off the sheets he writes on. He'd be flipping pages and and shit constantly.

He probably raps as he reads the lyrics, then memorizes them after he does so many takes. Or maybe he does read them for the actual vocals, and has them memorized by the time he does the stacked vocals he likes to do

i think all those videos of him reading vocals are just for show, and made after the fact for fun, and is not how he actually records...hard to picture somoeone spittin with so much energy reading it off the paper.

When i recorded back in the day i used to always memorize each verse so i wouldn't have to read it off the paper, b/c when you read it off you're not putting everything into the pronunciation and it sounds like you're reading it, even if its just slightly, you can still tell

And for those saying he's got lyric sheet, etc....no shit, he perfects the rhyme then as i say memorizes it and records verse by verse...its quite easy to memorize your own writing

and for his song sheet, theres no way it looks as messy as some of those lyric sheets...yea he might lay them on paper like that for a rough draft but i'm willing to bet he re-writes it neater and gets rid of the rhymes he won't use for that song/verse...i think he just puts out those messy lyric sheets b/c it looks more impressive and different (so again, just for show imo)
