Like Toy Soldiers is still a classic hip hop song because of just the song itself (raps, beat, flow, etc.) and the heavy message it brings on top of it, as far as how dangerous and deadly hip hop beefs can lead to. That's why some people regard it as a gem on a album full of club songs and farting around.
I wouldn't consider it classic at all, lol. His flow and rhymes weren't exactly amazing (which is why I clearly said it was sub-par, for Em's standards). The best part of it was the sample in the chorus & the message, and just like he does all over Encore, he delivers it in a monotonous and robotic voice. He sounds bored, as if he's doing this song because he's expected to discuss the beef somewhere on Encore.
Give him a break. He spent so much energy on it, honestly he's exhausted.
He sounds fine to me, but I agree the raps aren't really that great. And the song didn't really have an extreme, tough rhyme complex so he delivered around the way the beat was made
