Depends on how much "nothing" is. Eminem's last album sold 700-800k so I think it is safe to say that D12 will sell 100k or something like that.

Cashis' album will sell nothing, I agree. I reckon it is only a matter of time before they get rid of him anyway.

Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf will probably sell about 40-60k each which is still very good. Talib Kweli's new album (independent) sold 14k first week in the US but he is touring everywhere in the world and making a lot of money.

As long as they don't spend more money than they make, it should all be good.

I don't think age matters that much anymore. It has only ever been an issue because hip hop is a "new" genre.

I guess my main problem is we already know what to expect from everyone but Yelawolf. Em, Slaughterhouse, and D12 have all established and defined themselves. There is no one new and exciting like J Cole, or even Mac Miller to be honest. Yelawolf, I love him, but he won't be a game changer, he just isn't compatible with a lot of rappers.

It is all good then :D

I don't think anybody knows what to expect from Yelawolf. Especially not when he constantly mentions that his new album will be radio friendly (his mixtapes are anything but that). I only think that makes people more curious and excited about the project. It would take all the mystery away if people knew what to expect.

Personally I'm not fully convinced that he will turn out great cus a lot of the tracks he has out at the moment are quite average but the tracks I like are really brilliant, I think.

^JK Joell and Budden are both 30, but still no one under 30 except Cashis...

You always find a way to bring Kanye up :y: Who's his "young talent"? Cudi?

Yeah I mean, he's one of my favorite musicians and he's one of the top dudes out now.
And have you seen GOOD Music's roster?!

Big Sean, Kid Cudi, Cyhi The Prince, Common, Mos Def, Common, John Legend and Kanye himself. So yeah, Cudi, and he is 27 but he already has 2 dope albums and a ton of great mixtapes out. Then Cyhi and Big Sean are both under 30, I'm admittedly not their biggest fans, but GOOD's roster is sick with just Kanye, Common, Cudi, John Legend, and Mos Def.

You were talking about young talent. Common the same age as Em. Ledgend is 32 (not even a rapper :facepalm ) and Mos Def is 37 (1 year younger than Em). So you can't really bring them guys up. Haven't heard Big Sean or Cyhi, so can't say anything about them. And if you ARE talking about talent without the age aspect then SH, Em and even D12 SHITS on the whole GOOD label. But that's just me. :coffee:

I specifically said I was talking about Cudi and Cyhi/Big Sean (even tho I'm not a big fan of those 2). I just pointed out the rest of the roster to show how good it and well rounded it was.
Common/Mos Def > Slaughterhouse/D12 (not including Em, obviously)
Yela is the only one on Shady who we don't know what to expect, so that's why I'm not that excited about them.

I noticed with Yela there is no in between lol,you either like him or not.Not too many people say "i only like 2-3 tracks, dont like the rest".But i think he is pretty dope.
As for blowing up,none of them will blow and have the same impact as Em.But they will still sell good for their status.D12 still has a lot of fans outhere,SH the same,Yela has only started to have a stronger fanbase. Not sure about Cashis,he has some nice tracks,but...unless Em is involved in his album,i don't see him getting more exposure. He's been on the label for 2 long.Em is a trademark by now, even if his next albums turn out to be bad he will still sell,he has a huge loyal fanbase, none of them dudes on SR will surpass him.
