Anyways I just relgiously started listening to Lupe about a month or so ago, I mean I heard a few songs here and there, but never took the time to listen album to album. Anyways Lupe's great, his rhyming isn't phenemonal (though he surprises me at some tracks), but he's got substance, delivery, flow, and subject matter. Even though he's not a phenemonal rhymer, he's pretty great wordplay wise with homophones.
Hurt Me Soul is one of my favorite rap songs ever, everything was great, the hooks, the instrumental, and the last verse. A perfect example of using the literary technique stream of consciousness, one of my favorite rap verses ever, up there with P's last verse on HOE.
Other great tracks
