That it was an average song by an average rapper but great pr. The whole album was just.... It saddened me to hear something like BP3 cus the whole purpose of the album was to make money and gain popularity. Artiscially there wasn't any respectable point at all: Just listen to the verses of Run this town and Hater.

Hot97 promoted the track all week as a song that would change hip hop, and when Flex finally dropped, it was nothing but a decent track. Considering Hov's camp went so far and beyond making it known that it wasn't the official single (I mean who cares), everyone here realized that he was gonna release something for the radio as the first single, thus so much of this song was ignored because it was obvious immediately after he'd go back against so much of what he was saying. If he followed this up with "Brookyln, we go hard" then it would have been a perfect combination.

Plus biting some of Biggie's rhymes in the song didn't help.

This is a much better attempt at making an anti-autotune song though it's not just about that particular thing, and you can easily tell by the verses that they didn't make this song to gain popularity anywhere and come off as some kind of a bunch of anti-autotune pioneers.

I havn't heard all his albums but you can do a lot worse than picking up "Return of da boom bap" from 1993. One of the best albums of all time in my opinion with a lot of classic tracks.

I can't pretend I really gave a shit. Mainly cause I knew he didn't actually care. Mocking autotune for being popular for iTunes singalongs is hilarious when you're the biggest sellout of a rapper in history. When your whole album has no real meaning to it. This was clearly just something he jumped on because he saw people hating on autotune so he thought he'd get somewhere with it; then you listen to Blueprint 3, what about A Star Is Born? That chorus sounds pretty autotuned up to me.

And he isn't actually even saying anything in this song. He grapples at a vague concept talking about not being just a "popular" song or whatever, which is hilarious because as I said every song he releases is exactly that. So in conclusion, I didn't give a shit.
