I didn't know that this song was underrated, it's one of my favorite songs of Recovery.

Well on here yeah most people like it, but to the average listener I bet Cold Wind Blows gets skipped all the time.

Won't Back Down, Ridaz or Seduction.

Maybe Session One to the average listener.

For me, it's RIdaz. The flow/rhyming on that song is awesome, and I love the Dre beat. Really wished it would have made the album, maybe take WBD out or something.

"Going Through Changes" is one of the greatest songs Eminem has ever recorded. :coffee:
"This dude doing this interview wants me to spin a few,
Lyrics while I tie my tennis shoes in the nude
A romantic interlude in a livin’ room,
In an inner tube with a dude with a bit of lube
Fuck that I’m sniffin’ glue, sippin' gin & juice,
And a little bit of paint thinner with my dinner too,
You better pay me for my bars like your rent is due,
Now hurry up and finish dude before I finish you."

So Bad and WTP.. Both a smooth nice flow. Decent to really good rhyming.

Underrated? ehhh, I dunno.

"Cold Wind Blows", "Cinderella Man" and "Almost Famous" are probably my top three tracks from the album. But, none of those are really underrated.

"Space Bound" is a brilliant track but I saw one critic call it 'pure filler' lmao. Which is absurd. Don't know what kind of definition of 'filler' that guy has. But everybody else seems to like it so again, it's hardly underrated.

I think I'd say "W.T.P." or "So Bad" are the two most underrated. They're both kind of looked at as silly / throwaway tracks, which in subject-matter they may be. But the technique and flows are still brilliant, and they're very enjoyable to listen to.

"W.T.P." has flashes of his actual vintage wit for me too. When he says "I'll be damned if I feed a chick, it ain't like me to split a piece of dry peta!" - that captures the VINTAGE Shady wit. Such as "I'm still the same lame asshole with a different name".

Making himself out to be the creep, the opposite of cool / romantic. Which is why I like these lines about taking women to McDonalds drive throughs and being a cheapo etc. too lmao. It's just the execution / style that may sometimes ruin them aka puns. But the spirit of the wit is there.

But, he made being an asshole loser creep, cool. That's vintage Shady. Imagine him delivering that "W.T.P." line in the 98/99 style. Style can make lyricism seem a lot different. I was listening to "Dead Wrong" the other day and the whole verse is just about cannibalism, perverted sex and violence, like Relapse. It's just the STYLE that makes it seem drastically different.

Recovery as a whole, seems to be quite underrated "nowadays". I went back listening to it last week - from start, to finish - and, IMO, it's a solid album.

What seems to be the case, is that most people are underwhelmed by what Em has delivered post-Recovery (and that includes me). But Recovery was a good album, period.

As I see it, Em needs to put some focus back on the “technique-aspects”/flow of rap again, and not put so much focus on the "emotions" (which he seem to interpret as screaming... I just can’t stand it…).

Big statement, considering it is post-prime Em and people seem to think he can't make something better than he did before 02, but I agree.

Probably Seduction. I haven't even heard it yet.
Most underrated that I have heard: Won't Back Down: "Oh, it has P!nk so it's Pop trash!" wrong.

despite the chorus and the obvious airplay he was going for, LTWYL's verses are actually very good. good delivery, good speed, good flow, all that shit. seems to get a lot of hate here (probably from me too).
