AVB has shown his inexperience here.

The media don't have a problem with Chelsea, they had a legitimate argument that Chelsea's season was on the verge of exploding.

Chelsea are 10 points behind City already, they'd lost to QPR, Arsenal, drawn with Genk, lost to Liverpool in the league and the Carling Cup, lost to Bayer Leverkusen and were on the verge of getting knocked out the Champions League.

So where's the persecution?

You won't win the league, or CL, you can't win the Carling Cup. Is the FA cup good enough?

Can't win the Carling Cup? Did you see the team we fielded? It's a cup hardly anyone cares for anyway. AVB was using it to flex our youngsters. But is the cup now held in a higher regard as City are still in contention for it? Wasn't the FA cup good enough for you last season?

In regards to AVB, I think he was mainly addressing how the media said we were in a "crisis" and now the results have turned, they fail to say anything good about Chelsea. How could the media speculate on AVB's job that early, especially how he said a few times Roman backs him? They loved it. What AVB said was justified.

You have been on fire in the PL and you're currently the best team. There's no doubt about that. But you're not these invincibles you seem to perceive City as. The season is still young and anything can happen. You have to play us and Arsenal, if you lose both, Utd can go first.

Outside of England, you have been absolute pants. You were saying how can you be champions of Europe but not your own country, right? Equally, how can teams in your country who finished below you do better in *arguably* a harder competition? I don't care about this lack of "experience" in the City squad. When you spend that amount of money you should expect a solid run and not to be beaten by Napoli. Chelsea's first outing in the CL was good and our players were not "experienced" in the CL or as good as City's current squad. City may prove me wrong today though, but the outcome isn't even in your hands.

Well I hardly mentioned City so I don't know quite why you went on about us so much.

Given Abramovich's track record of sacking managers, it's totally common sense to question AVB's position.

Wouldn't say results have turned either, really. You'd always expect to beat Newcastle and qualify from that group. You need to beat City, I think.

I mentioned City as you were taking shots at Chelsea. Especially that FA Cup statement. Weren't you happy with it last season?

I understand what you're saying about Roman, but AVB spoke to him and he has his backing. What more do the media want?

Yes I was over the moon, but you're missing the point. Historically, Chelsea managers don't survive unless they win the league / Champions league.

I don't believe that he will be sacked because you paid loads for him, but you can understand the media shitstorm because they love to exaggerate. AVB should just get on with it, rather than trying to argue with tha haterz.

What happened to Ajax is beyond fucked up and wrong. Fucking refs man. I'm far from an Ajax fan but this is wrong.

What's going on? Been watching parts of 3 other games. Not caught that one.

Scored two goals but the ref called it and said it was outside (it wasn't). Real scored 1 goal that was actually outside but that wasn't called.

Lyon won 1-7 putting them above Ajax on points.
