No, time cannot change the quality of an album. It can change your perception of an album, but not the quality. That, however, wasn't the point.
The point is that Eminem fans seem to be in constant admiration of the album before the current one. While the argument could be made that every album in his discography has degraded in quality chronologically, this argument does not hold up very well, considering the fact that Infinite isn't generally considered to be his best work...unless you're class_theking.
My point, as I'm sure you know, is that a loud percentage of fans will always point to an album prior for an example of better music. His earliest supporters didn't like the "drug shit" that started with the SSEP, TES was too soft, and so on and so forth. That doesn't mean that they are always wrong.
The statement was in jest, but the spirit of it is rooted in truth. Just wanted to be clear, as your counter statement seemed to be addressing something entirely different.
