That's actually a great point.
The question is whether or not it was a song meant to humiliate. That's where the problem lies. If the intent of the song was to humiliate, then it was petty and disgusting. If it was a raw representation of his feelings, and both a representation of love and hate, then it's just a work of art that has the potential of offend and/or humiliate.
Personally, I believe the latter to be the case.
