Ok first of all, I hate metacritic cause that's the first things a Kanye fan brings up. Like I give a shit. Its notorious that music critics hate rap and Kanye was the first rapper (maybe second to only eminem) that was able to bridge the gap between rap and other genres.

No I don't think it's a bad rating, but I've only said it's bad against his standard and that is it. Every context I have used bad it has been relative to his other albums.

Just cause I'm stating my opinion does not mean I'm hating, I do like some songs on 808, the same way I like some songs on Encore. That doesn't change that the overall album's quality is bad (still talking in relative terms here.) Or am i not allowed to claim that opinion without being called a hater? I made the assertion that 808s is bad in the same way that Encore is bad. In comparison to the standards Eminem and Kanye set with prior albums, 808s and Encore were not as good. A rapper has not won a Grammy for Best Album of the Year. Even when its deserved like MMLP or MBDTF. Critics love some rappers, but they've never identified with rap like they do with Rock or Pop. Kanye has bridged that game a little bit, but still not completely.
